Microtechnology fair at the HANNOVER MESSE

The workshop will give an overview on the product development process of ceramic micro parts related to Sensors & Actuators applications with focus on Applications, Manufacturing and Reliability.

The workshop will:

  • Identify the critical steps and missing competence
  • Define 4M services and identify industrial service providers
  • Collect the resources and structure them in the production process

The workshop will be arranged in Germany at the Microtechnology fair at the HANNOVER MESSE 2009.

Manufacturing in FP7 Conference

Building on the outstanding success of its predecessors in 2007 and 2008, the Manufacturing in FP7 Conference aims to provide indepth information about the manufacturing topics addressed in both Theme 3 (ICT) and Theme 4 (NMP) of the European Union's 7th Framework Programme, FP7. It takes place at Cardiff University, one of Britain’s major teaching and research universities.

Ultra-Precision Positioning Systems - piezo drive systems as a future enabling technology

Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, 3001 Leuven, Belgium

In light of the ever increasing industry-driven demand for accurate positioning, this symposium discusses the state of the art of precise positioning systems, with a focus on recent developments and applications of piezoelectric driving technology.

Workshop on Technologies for the manufacture of miniaturised moulded interconnect devices(MID)

Moulded interconnect devices (MIDs) are thermoplastic circuit carriers with a patterned surface metallization which combines mechanical and electrical functionalities on a single device.

Integration of micro metallic structures in polymer devices is a broad multi-disciplinary research field, consisting of various combinations of mechanical, chemical and physical fabrication methods. Some of these combinations have been known for years and have mostly been used for decorative purposes. Other combinations or methods are very new and developing.

Workshop on simulation of Powder Injection Moulding (PIM) - progress and expectation of industry

In order to reach the market in more complex parts, PIM industry requires the use of efficient simulation tools in order to set up the process of injection, debinding and sintering.
